The UMass Boston Center for Collaborative Leadership is excited to host the 18th annual Changing the Face of Leadership Luncheon on June 14th, 2019 at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library.
Each year, the center hosts a luncheon to commemorate the graduation of the fellows in our Emerging Leaders Program and bring together the leaders of our region from the corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors. During the luncheon, the center will also be awarding certificates to participants in the 2019 Master Class series on Effective Communication. This year the center is honoring Georgianna Melendez as this year’s Leading the Way award recipient.
Listen and learn as panelists share why they chose to step into leadership and use their voices and social capital to address inequities in our region, and while they offer thoughts on how you can raise your voice.
The panel moderator is Shirley Leung of The Boston Globe.
The 2019 panel speakers:
- Jay Ash, CEO of Mass Competitive Partnership and former Secretary of Housing and Economic Development under Governor Charlie Baker.
- Beth Chandler, CEO of YW Boston with more than 20 years of experience in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors.
- Rachael Rollins, Suffolk County District Attorney and the first black woman to win the Democratic nomination for Suffolk district attorney.
