Since last summer, the students in ourĀ Youth Leadership InItiativeĀ program have committed themselves to learning about social justice, growing their leadership skills, and making change in their communities. Join us on Thursday, May 3rd as we celebrate Class of 2018’s completion of the program and welcome them into the InIt alumni family!
The 17 delegations will present their Community Action Projects, demonstrating how they collectively put their knowledge and skills into action to improve their schools and communities. Nia Evans, director of the Boston Ujima Project and former Executive Director of the Boston NAACP, will be our featured guest speaker. There will also be student speakers selected by their fellow InIt delegates.
Light refreshments will be served.
