Bianca Robinson, Director of DE&I, interviewed by CCTV on trans rights
On September 4, 2019, Bianca Robinson, YW Boston’s Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Services, spoke on Cambridge Community Television (CCTV)’s show Women Speak. Bianca sat down with Tess Ewing, host of the show, to discuss transgender rights. Bianca has over 15 years experience in LGBTQ+ community organizing, educational programs, and HIV prevention research in the US and Canada. She is the founder of the Massachusetts Trans Women Leadership, a group that aims to create space, build leadership, and celebrate trans women and girls.
In her interview, Bianca spoke about the barriers trans people face to accessing work and education, as well as the necessary work of supporting young trans people. As the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Services, Bianca works with YW Boston’s programs InclusionBoston and LeadBoston to provide Boston’s institutions with the tools they need to create more inclusive environments.
