Ariana joined the YW Boston team in August 2018 as Youth Development Coordinator and was thrilled to be putting their diverse skill set to work as part of the InIt team. Originally from Portland, ME, Ariana discovered their passion for liberation work, youth, work, and social justice education throughout their undergraduate career at Clark University where they earned their B.A. in International Development & Social Change. There, they were able to act with and learn from youth in a range of environments – from creating and facilitating a series of social justice education-based workshops for a Worcester-based youth leadership program, to mentoring first-year college students of color, to participating in a hands-on exploration of alternative youth culture in Havana, Cuba. Ariana believes that the power of change lies largely at the intersection of young black and brown folks and their infinite and proven potential to become leaders and change-makers. Ariana now works as the Inclusive Girls Leadership Program Coordinator.
