As YW Boston’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Coralys supports the successful delivery of YW Boston programs, as well as bolstering the impact of the organization’s vision of a more inclusive and equitable city. By leveraging partnerships and overseeing strategic marketing and communications, Coralys works as a liaison between the programs and fund development departments to increase engagement and promote the sustainability of YW Boston’s mission.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Coralys earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Management from the University of Puerto Rico Río Piedras. Although she started as an Electrical Engineering student and part-time web developer, Coralys quickly discovered her passion for storytelling and communications. Her experiences as a Latina in STEM illustrated her path as an advocate for gender and racial equity. Prior to joining YW Boston, Coralys worked with both for-profit and nonprofit clients, including Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico.
In Puerto Rico, Coralys was an active participant of a variety of grassroots organizations advocating for gender equality, LGBTQIA+ and reproductive rights. Coralys served as a member of the 2019 Boston Women’s March Steering Committee and is a Massachusetts Commonwealth Seminar alum. She currently sits on YW Boston’s Advocacy Committee which supports YW Boston’s mission to eliminate racism and empower women by engaging in legislative advocacy, policy implementation, and coalition-building.
