As YW Boston’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Coralys supports the successful delivery of YW Boston programs and bolsters the organization’s vision of a more inclusive and equitable city. By leveraging partnerships and overseeing strategic marketing and communications, Coralys works as a liaison between the programmatic and fund development departments to increase engagement and promote the sustainability of YW Boston’s mission.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Coralys earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Management from the University of Puerto Rico Río Piedras. Although she started as an Electrical Engineering student and part-time web developer, Coralys quickly discovered her passion for inclusive communications and mission-driven, nonprofit work. Her experiences as a Latina in STEM illustrated her path as an advocate for greater gender and racial equity. Prior to joining YW Boston, Coralys worked in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, which included working with clients such as Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico.
In Puerto Rico, Coralys was an active participant of a variety of grassroots organizations advocating for gender equity, LGBTQIA+ rights, reproductive rights, and more equitable access to healthcare for systemically marginalized genders. Coralys served as a member of the 2019 Boston Women’s March Steering Committee and is a Massachusetts Commonwealth Seminar alum. She currently sits on YW Boston’s Advocacy Committee which supports YW Boston’s mission to eliminate racism and empower women by engaging community members in legislative advocacy, policy implementation, and coalition-building.
