Deysi Gutierrez is a community organizer at Partners in Democracy, where she works to advance a more accessible and equitable democratic process. Born in El Salvador and raised in Boston from the age of seven, Deysi has deep roots in the East Boston immigrant community and is committed to expanding her work to support young people across Boston and Greater Boston. She holds a B.A. in Communication from UMass Boston and previously led the East Boston Mutual Aid Network, an experience that continues to shape her commitment to reciprocity and collective care. A graduate of the Mayor’s Office for Immigrant Advancement’s Immigrants Lead Boston program and a dedicated mother, Deysi brings creativity, compassion, and lived experience to her organizing. She finds joy in connecting with community, pop culture, writing, and the everyday moments that sustain collective work.
