Erik Aas

(he/him)

Advancement Associate

Erik joined YW Boston in December 2022 as the Advancement Associate. In this role, Erik has been responsible for managing and maintaining much of the tech used by the Advancement team and helps to support the organization’s fundraising initiatives. With a background in customer service and administration, Erik has leveraged this role to improve how YW Boston tracks and reports fundraising data, improve the systems and tech we use to fundraise, and support the Advancement team with donor relations and event management.

Prior to joining YW Boston, Erik worked at various nonprofit organizations throughout the Twin Cities metro area with program focuses that aligned with many of Erik’s interests – music & arts, migration, community service, and social justice.

Originally from Duluth, Minnesota, Erik graduated from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies with concentrations in Migration, Global Health, & Europe and a minor and certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language.

In his spare time, Erik is an avid baker of sweet treats, swimmer, world traveler, wannabe yogi, and is constantly trying to improve his fastest time for the NYT mini crossword puzzle (14 seconds is his current record!).

Help us create a more equitable city

YW Boston addresses individual, interpersonal, and structural barriers in order to create more equitable spaces for women, people of color, and especially women of color.
