Kathleen Von Euw

Associate Director of DEI Consulting & Training

Kathleen joined YW Boston in June 2021 to serve as InclusionBoston Manager for large organizations.

Kathleen brings nearly a decade of experience developing social justice education and community-engaged programs in higher education. Her work has focused on approaching community engagement practice, experiential education, and community-engaged scholarship from an anti-racist, intersectional framework. In her community-engaged work, Kathleen has prioritized the perspectives of community members and partner organizations by implementing systems that center community voices.

Most recently, Kathleen served as Assistant Director of Community Engagement and Partnerships at Manhattan College, where she spent seven years building bridges between the college and local community-based organizations in the Bronx, as well as nonprofits in the greater New York City area. 

While at Manhattan, Kathleen also focused on building capacity for initiatives aimed at creating more inclusive and equitable spaces on campus, including designing educational workshops and trainings; piloting and facilitating intergroup dialogue programs; training students to facilitate dialogues on identity, privilege, power, and oppression; co-chairing a campus climate committee; advancing voter engagement initiatives; and collaborating as part of a team of students, faculty, and staff to found the Women & Gender Resource Center. 

Kathleen holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Spanish Literature & Language from Villanova University. Kathleen returned to Villanova University to work in the Office of Service-Learning, where she earned an M.P.A. and a certificate in nonprofit management.
