Laury Lucien, Esq. is an attorney, professor, entrepreneur, and transformational speaker committed to advancing equity, justice, and community empowerment. An immigrant raised between Haiti and Boston, she brings both lived experience and professional dedication to her work in service of women, families, and historically marginalized communities.
She is the founder of Lucien Law, LLC, where she practices immigration, estate planning, criminal defense, and personal injury law. Laury is a magna cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School and holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from UMass Amherst. Her early work in cancer research at Mass General Hospital sparked a lifelong interest in holistic health and healing, which continues to inform her interdisciplinary approach to advocacy, leadership, and service.
In the cannabis space, Laury is a nationally recognized advocate for equity and justice. She serves on the Massachusetts Cannabis Advisory Board as Chair of the Public Safety and Community Mitigation Subcommittee and as a member of the Market Participation Subcommittee. She also teaches Cannabis Law at Suffolk University Law School and Clark University and serves as Education Director for the Parabola Center, a nonpartisan think tank working to ensure cannabis legalization policies prioritize people over corporate interests.
Through her consulting work, Laury has helped shape cannabis equity programs across Massachusetts, including technical assistance initiatives for the City of Boston and the Cannabis Control Commission. She develops licensing curricula, compliance trainings, and workforce development resources that help historically excluded entrepreneurs enter and succeed in the regulated cannabis industry.
Whether she is advocating for clients through Lucien Law, advising businesses, teaching future leaders, or building community-centered ventures, Laury brings vision, authenticity, and service to everything she does.
