Yvonne Montilla

Yvonne Montilla is a seasoned executive leader with deep expertise in operational strategy, organizational alignment, and mission-driven management. She currently serves as Vice President of Program & Operations at the New Commonwealth Fund, where she partners closely with executive leadership to strengthen systems, drive cross-functional collaboration, and build strong internal infrastructure with a clear focus on staff leadership and professional development.

Prior to joining NCF, Yvonne served as Chief of Staff at Children’s Services of Roxbury, acting as a strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team. In that role, she oversaw key initiatives, board governance, and executive operations while building internal systems that enhanced accountability, clarity, and organizational effectiveness. Her work consistently centers on strengthening leadership capacity, improving operational infrastructure, and ensuring alignment between strategy and execution.

Yvonne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and graduate studies focused on Leadership and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. She brings strength in strategic planning, relationship management, DEIB advancement, and complex project coordination, with a proven ability to drive results in dynamic nonprofit environments.

A proud daughter of Cuban immigrants, Yvonne’s lived experience deeply informs her commitment to equity, access, and community-centered leadership. Born and raised in Jamaica Plain and now a Hyde Park resident, she is married with two children and is a devoted dog mom to her French Bulldog. She enjoys mentoring emerging leaders, exploring her passion for real estate, savoring good food with family and friends, and staying active through spinning and long outdoor walks.
