Nancy Rachel Rousseau, MS, CFRE, is an accomplished nonprofit executive and strategist whose career has been defined by her ability to mobilize partnerships, philanthropic investment, and community leadership to strengthen institutions and expand opportunity. With more than two decades of experience, she has advanced initiatives that support youth development, workforce readiness, education, public health, and community empowerment.
Ms. Rousseau brings a distinctive cross-sector perspective developed through work in the nonprofit, corporate, and government sectors—experience she often refers to as the “professional trifecta.” Beginning her career in finance, she later transitioned into nonprofit leadership, where she has helped organizations strengthen philanthropic strategy, deepen community engagement, and build meaningful partnerships that advance mission and long-term sustainability.
Deeply committed to civic leadership, Ms. Rousseau is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®️, Psi Iota Omega Chapter, where she has served as Chapter President and contributes to regional initiatives. She has also held leadership roles with organizations including the WGBH Community Advisory Board, Mattapan Square Main Streets, and the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts.
Her leadership and service have been recognized locally and nationally. She has been featured in Portraits of Purpose: A Tribute to Leadership, the Boston Business Journal, and the Boston Haitian Reporter for her work supporting Haiti relief efforts. Among her many honors are the NAACP Brockton Branch Phenomenal Woman Award, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®️ North Atlantic Region Officer of the Year Award, and the NAACP Boston Branch Image Award.
Ms. Rousseau is a two-time graduate of Northeastern University, earning a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management and Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Management. She also holds the globally recognized Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential. A proud Haitian-American and longtime Massachusetts resident, Ms. Rousseau remains dedicated to building stronger communities by connecting people to opportunity and helping institutions serve with greater impact.
