2016 Stand Against Racism – The State of Race and the Way Forward: A Community Conversation

YW Boston’s 2016 Stand Against Racism event will feature a panelĀ discussionĀ about racial equity in Boston and the United States. The panel will feature Michael Jeffries, an Associate Professor of American Studies at Wellesley College and author of Paint the White House Black,Ā and Vernā Myers, best known for her TED Talk “How to Overcome our Biases?” and her best selling books Moving Diversity Forward: How to Move From Well-Meaning to Well-DoingĀ and What If I Say the Wrong Thing? 25 Habits for Culturally Effective People. Callie Crossley, host of WGBH’s show “Under the Radar with Callie Crossley” will be moderating the discussion.

This event will be open to the public, although there will be a limited number of seats. Preregistration and photo ID required for entry.Ā
