Alison is the driving force in the development of State Street’s culture — ensuring that employees globally feel engaged, valued and committed to its markets and clients. Late last year, Alison spoke at TED@StateStreet, a first-of-its-kind partnership event, telling her family’s story of taking in a teenager from Nigeria who was recruited to play basketball at her daughter’s high school.

Through this unique opportunity to share something intensely personal with colleagues, Alison gained further perspective on the connective power of storytelling. “It’s stories, not speeches that make a mark, and I’m ready for more of them in the workplace.”
