Please join YW Boston, Northstar Asset Management, and Harvard Business School Association of Boston for the upcoming virtual event “Dismantling White Supremacy Culture.”
Culture is how a group of people define what is “normal” and what is “not normal” — what is acceptable, appropriate or considered professional in the workplace. In the U.S., we live in a society that continually teaches us that whiteness is normal, and we have internalized that belief.
As our country becomes more racially diverse, we have to reimagine a world where our differences inform and strengthen an organization’s work. Research shows that diversity is linked to better outcomes, though we also know that diversity without inclusion can be detrimental to an organization’s performance. During this hour, we want to explore and discuss the most effective ways to dismantle white supremacy culture in order to achieve racial equity.
