Date & Time
03.19.2020 7:30am - 9:30am
We regret to inform you that this event has been canceled. In response to the coronavirus, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston has canceled all external events for March and April. We know this was a difficult decision to come to, and we regret that we will be unable to see this event through for the time being. We will look into rescheduling for later in the year.

This Women’s History Month, please join us for “Women on the Rise: Harness Her Power.” This year is the centennial celebration of the 19th Amendment that granted women the right to vote, but nationally women’s political representation is far from equal. This is especially true for women of color, who have faced additional challenges gaining the right to vote and to hold office.

However, representation of women on Boston City Council continues to grow, with women holding eight of thirteen seats and a number of “firsts” for the council. We invite you to learn from them about harnessing one’s power. This event on March 19th 7:30AM – 9:30AM will feature Boston’s women city councilors discussing strategies for women in Boston to exercise their political voices.

Featuring Boston’s women city councilors:

  • Kenzie Bok, Councilor of District 8
  • Liz Breadon, Councilor of District 9
  • Andrea Campbell, Councilor of District 4

  • Kim Janey, City Council President and Councilor of District 7
