Statement Regarding the Wage Equity Now Bill Pushing Forward

YW Boston
W=N

YW Boston is pleased and proud to see the Workplace Equity Act voted out of committee favorably last week. We celebrate the work of the Joint Committee on Labor and Workforce Development for moving this crucial bill forward.

YW Boston helps individuals and organizations change policies, practices, attitudes, and behaviors with the goal of creating more inclusive environments where women, people of color, and especially women of color can succeed. This act is an essential tool for building a just Commonwealth and we are pleased to partner with organizations and companies who agree that economic impact is greatest when equity is at its center.

We look forward to continuing to support this effort as a steering committee member of the Wage Equity Now Coalition where we will work alongside leaders in the House and Senate to secure the passage of this important bill.
