Kathryn Henderson joined YW Boston as Community Outreach Coordinator in 2009, with more than 10 years of non-profit program management experience.
In March of 2017, she was promoted to Assistant Vice President and currently oversees the organization’s portfolio of civic engagement and anti-racism programs, including Dialogues on Race and Ethnicity, Youth/Police Dialogues, Stand Against Racism, and LeadBoston. Kathryn is responsible for managing the human and financial resources for these programs as well as providing direction for curriculum development, evaluation, and volunteer training.
Prior to her tenure at YW Boston, Kathryn was national programs manager for Reach Out and Read, an acclaimed youth literacy program. She has also worked with Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance.
Kathryn has also served as an adjunct professor at Tufts University and Bay State College and serves as a committee chair of Walk Boston. She holds a bachelor’s degree from College of the Holy Cross and a master’s degree from Springfield College. A certified facilitator through the Interaction Institute for Social Change, Kathryn is a 2011 graduate of LeadBoston.
